It's Here!

Book Two in The Huntington Saga Series Novels~

Pirate Bride!

Miss Susannah Blakemore is kidnapped and sold into white slavery as payback to the Huntingtons. Will her pirate hero save her?

“The Huntingtons will pay. Oh, they will pay.” Plots and unholy alliances are put into action carrying out long-awaited retribution.

Only … one was not thought of. One was not even considered. How would anyone have guessed that a descendant of a pirate would take up his old family tradition in a mad quest to regain his bitterly lost love? The Marquess of Latham will not abide by this act of violence arranged for his precious love, but will surely save her -- will he not? And will he make her the next pirate bride?

Next? There must be a first to have a 'next'. But there was another ... centuries ago ... that still walks the halls of Stonecrest Castle.

Nightmares...

My daughter was telling me about her awful nightmare she had last night (probably brought on by the book she was reading at bedtime), and after she got into it, all I could say was, "Wow!  That'd make a great book or movie!"  (I'm a really, really supportive mom...) ;)  It freaked me out in the 'Woman in Black' sort of way (haven't seen the second one, and I don't know if I possibly could! So scary!) I think I was pulling a grimace the whole time she was telling me, and I was thinking, how awful that my baby was dreaming this!  But, wow!

And she remembered so much...  And now I'm thinking that I'm so awful!

Such detail, though.  It would be such a waste.  So much so that we are going to take a break from life and sit down today to try and convert it into a short story and publish it.  Are we screwed up, or what!?!  Sounds like a fun project to me.

See you on Amazon--and we'll let you know when!  Here's to creating stories!  What a fun adventure!

Short Stories to be Released!

I am gearing up to release two short stories soon.  They are Victorian Romance Short Stories called Lady Gabrielle and Lady Elisabeth about Carly (The Governess) and Susannah's (Pirate Bride) parents falling in love and also Creighton's (The Governess) parents falling in love.  Two more short stories will be added sometime in the future to make it a four book set. I'm really excited about sharing these love stories with you all.

I'm looking for some beta-readers who would be interested in reading them to see if they are ready for publication.  I think they are, but I'm more interested in what you think. :)  Also, I'm interested in gathering reviews from those of you who beta read so that, as soon as I publish them, they have some reviews out there to look at.

To sign up, click on this link to submit your name, please.

Thank you!  I have the best readers out there!

Big hugs,
Ellise

Happy Thanksgiving!

Blessings have been abundant in my life with loving family, friends, and a loving Father in heaven.  I am so grateful for these blessings, along with so many, many others.  Truly, I can't count them all for there are so many I take for granted, but I wish to be especially grateful today.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Writer's Retreat 2014!

Wow!  What an incredible weekend!  And thank you, Wendy Swore, for the awesome excuse to go and write to my heart's content!  I believe there was 22 authors in all that were there at the Authors Incognito Writer's Retreat 2014, and all made it an amazing experience, just like last year at my first retreat.

A cabin, friends and fellow authors, great food, and a great view--all attached to TIME to write. It was an adventure.  I was able to pump out 21,000 words, lost 2300 of them, but was able to recover by writing up an outline of what went missing...the only downfall to writing till you are bleary-eyed.  :)  It was all worth it.  Now Book Three in The Huntington Saga Series Novels is about 1/3 of the way complete.  I moved the deadline to spring, since I know it won't be done this month, so put it on your calendars, folks!

Here's to the beautiful stories out there in the world yet to consume!  I love reading, so here's to all of you awesome authors out there!

Tijuana!

Imperial Beach, California
I've been recovering the last few days from my trip to Tijuana, Mexico and southern California to my doctor, Dr. Calzada, who is a miracle worker.  As many of you know, I've been there twice now, a whole week the first time, and four days this trip.

Dr. Calzada specifically focuses on detoxing the body and building it up again. Unfortunately, this time he found that, not only do I still have bacteria in my blood, but I'm dealing with parasites in my body as well.  No wonder I'm so ill.  But he has me on a strict regimen that should do the trick in ridding my body of these unwelcome little creatures.  All in all, I should start feeling a lot better, I hope, by Christmas.
Luncheon at Benihana's
My dear friend and neighbor took me this trip, and I couldn't be more grateful to her for her kindness and her amazing company.  Thank you, Camille!  We had a blast together.  I am ever grateful for good people in my life.

I enjoyed touring Point Loma's Lighthouse with Camille and seeing the gorgeous view from there, which also enabled me to see San Diego, Catalina Island, Imperial Beach, as well as Tijuana from our vantage point. Beautiful!
Point Loma Lighthouse, CA
San Diego and beyond...
Payson, Utah Temple
I love counting as many temples as I can as I travel.  Last trip, I counted 14 temples! :)  That was incredible, but I didn't see as many this time.

It always amazes me, as I travel, how beautiful God's creations are...even in the desert.

Overall, I am grateful to my mom for this trip and this opportunity to get well.  I am grateful to my Heavenly Father and my Savior for always being there for me.  I am grateful to still have some gumption to fight for my life each and every day.  There have been days that I could not say that, but I always felt love from above.  I am so eternally grateful for that show of love, for without it, I would not be where I am today.
